The 78th Shosoin Exhibition runs from 24 October to 9 November 2026 at the Nara National Museum — seventeen days only. Around Nara Park, the maples usually peak from mid to late November.
THE KAKU is a three-minute walk from Nara Park and Kofuku-ji Temple, so both the exhibition and the maple gardens are on foot. Over 250 sqm, reserved for one party at a time. Go early while the galleries are quiet, then come back to a private open-air bath while the afternoon crowds arrive.
